Important!! The redefinition of a service is in beta, so we recommend making a local backup before carrying out the process.
The Smart Hosting to Cloud migration option allows you to easily move a Hosting within your Cloud, be it Web Hosting, Redirected or Mail to any other you have in the Tree of active services of SW Panel.
If you don't have a Cloud, you can hire it by following the directions at the following URL:
This function also allows you to divide your service in a modular way, for example; If you have a Cloud with all the services and you hire new Clouds (for example, one for the database and one for the mail) you can divide the service between several Clouds.
Once in "Active Services Tree", you have to go to the [ ··· ] icon of the hosting service you want to redefine. When you pass the cursor over it, a menu will be displayed, and you must click on Redefine this Hosting service.
Once you are in the section to move the Hosting to a Cloud, you must choose which is the web server to which you want to migrate the service (in the left part of the wizard, in "Select the Cloud to which you want to move this hosting"). You will also have to choose which server you want to assign for the Mail, the Database and the DNS. Here you can assign a single Cloud or several to create a MultiCloud Hosting, we will select the same Cloud for web, mail and database. We recommend assigning dns3.swhosting.com and dns4.swhosting.com as primary and secondary DNS. Once the configuration is finished, click Next.
In this section you have to formalize the new configuration. Once reviewed, you have to click Accept and formalize.
Important! We recommend that before starting the migration process of the Hosting service you configure your website in a state of maintenance so that there are no modifications, at the file level or in the database, during the period of time necessary for the redefinition of the service between your servers.
Important! When you redefine the services, the service will automatically change the DNS to point to the redefined service so that no modifications can be made to the source site.
Important! The source data is deleted after 5 days, so we recommend reviewing the redefinition once it is done and, in case of error, opening a free support wall commenting on what happened.
Once formalized, the SW Panel will begin to redefine and the message "Your Hosting Plan is being changed" will appear on your service.
Once the service redefinition process is finished, the message "Your Hosting Plan is being changed" will disappear and you will be able to manage it normally through the [···] icon.
