We are going to configure our email account in Thunderbird.
The data that we must take into account for the configuration of the email account are the following:
Within the Thunderbird manager, we access Tools > Account Settings:
The configuration screen will open. From there, we access Operations on the account > Add email account:
The wizard for adding email accounts will open. We enter the data requested and click on Continue:
We remember you that from SWPanel you will not be able to see the information about the email account password, because in compliance with ISO 27001, the LOPD and the RGPD, we do not store or provide personal codes, as well as we do not have access to the Email account keys we don't even provide them.
The Thunderbird manager will verify that the details are correct before proceeding to the next step.
Once the verification is finished, it will show a check on the screen and it will propose a default configuration, along with the possibility of choosing between the IMAP protocol or the POP3 protocol. In case the configuration is correct, we can proceed to press the button Done to finish the wizard and open the mail screen:
In case the configuration is not correct, we will press the button Configure manually and proceed to modify the data manually:
The manual configuration window will open. We must check that the data is correct (compare together with those provided at the beginning of the section). We can also modify the Username (optional, does not affect the general configuration).
Once everything is checked and verified, we press the button Retest:
We will get the data verification check. Press the button Done to finish the wizard and open the mail screen:
