SLU has established an operations base in Barranquilla, Colombia, from which it will coordinate its sales and support activities in Latin America, a market where the company currently has more than 15,000 clients, including businesses, digital agencies, and independent professionals.
The choice of Barranquilla—the main city on the Colombian Caribbean coast and one of the country's logistics and industrial hubs—is, according to the company, due to its strategic location connecting Latin America, Europe, and North America, and the growth of the area's business and technology sector. The new base will allow SW Hosting to provide support and service in the local time zone, services previously managed remotely from its facilities in Europe.

The company provides domain registration, SSL certificates, web hosting, and cloud infrastructure services, and operates a network of seven data centers distributed across Europe, North America, and South America. This geographic distribution supports the operation, which is now partially coordinated from Colombia.
Regarding security and compliance, SW Hosting states that its infrastructure is hosted in data centers certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and that its services comply with the main data protection regulations applicable to its clients, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Looking ahead, the company indicates that it is exploring initiatives in the region related to developing technical talent and collaborating with local industry players, although it has not yet specified a timeline or associated investment.
