At SW Hosting, we are firmly convinced that the future of technology depends on the training of today’s youth. That’s why we wanted to be actively involved in one of the most powerful initiatives in the field of Vocational Education in Catalonia: the Catskills 2025 Championship, specifically in the Skill17: Web Development category, hosted at the Institut Cendrassos in Figueres.
Catskills is much more than just a competition. It’s a space where students from vocational training centres across Catalonia can demonstrate their skills in a real, practical, and demanding environment. For SW Hosting, these kinds of events are essential because they highlight the value of learning, effort, and the preparation of the next generation of professionals in the tech industry.
Over the course of three days, students from different schools competed in web development challenges that tested not only their technical skills but also their resilience, problem-solving abilities, stress management, and passion for code. These are all crucial skills for their future careers, and at SW Hosting, we highly value them.

Watching them in action was an inspiring experience. It showed us that young talent is out there — it simply needs to be nurtured with the right tools, training, and real opportunities.

That’s why we participated in this event as a collaborating partner, and had the honour of awarding prizes to the top three contestants in the Web Development category, with a total value of over 1000 euros.
