Guided visits are back

In case you haven't heard the news yet, you can visit our own Data Center in Girona. All you have to do is go to our website to request a guided visit, but please make sure you request it at least 15 days in advance.

The guided visits usually lasts between 1h and 1:30h, which includes a visit to the Data Center of Girona with a talk/conference. If you are more than 15 people, you will have to divide into 2 groups. One group will be on the down floor to see the Data Center and the other group will be listening to the talk/conference on the upstairs floor, then vice versa.

The requirements to be met for the guided tour, in compliance with the LOPD and ISO27001 standards, are as follows:

• Request it at least 15 days in advance.
• Once the request has been confirmed, you must send us a list with all the names and DNI/NIE of the visitors, as well as the digitalized documents.
• In case there are more than 15 people, we will make two groups, as we have explained before, the first group will visit the Data center, while the second one will listen to the talk/conference.
• Finally, it is not allowed to access the Data center with backpacks/handbags, cell phones or cameras. Upon arrival, we will tell you where you can leave your equipment, where it will be safe and secure.

These visits were very popular a couple of years ago, but were paralyzed because of the pandemic. And now, we want to do them again.

As you know, we love to see the happy and surprised faces of the people who visit our Data Center. Above all, to be able to collaborate with the education and teaching of students who are studying for careers or cycles related to computer science, technology and engineering. In addition, to be able to teach them what they could do or what kind of technologies they could deal with.

For example, we still remember when we were visited by students from high schools such as IES Montilivi, IES Vidreres or students from the University of Girona. We have also received visits from outside the field of education, such as a French television channel, and so on.

We will be more than happy to welcome you back, whether you are students, teachers, or people outside the educational and technological field.
