SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer, it is a security protocol that makes the data transmitted between a server and a web user, and in feedback, travel securely encrypted and encrypted.
A system of keys and mathematical algorithms that can only be identified between the user who navigates and the server are used, so that nobody else can read their content.
To be able to use an SSL certificate, on your website, it is vitally important that the Internet server support SSL.
When a visitor accesses a page protected by SSL on your website, the bar of your browser shows a lock icon and the prefix https:// in the URL.
With an SSL certificate, the client knows that the site is authentic, real and reliable to enter their personal data.
Depending on the use given to each certificate, we can find different types of them. According to the verifications of the data that are made, they are divided into four classes:
Class 1 Certificates: Corresponds to the simplest, perform few checks of the data, only the name and email address of the owner.
Class 2 Certificates: In this case, the DNI or driving license, the Social Security number and the date of birth are also checked.
Type 3 Certificates: In this category, credit checks of the person or company are added through Equifax or Duns & Bradstreet.
Class 4 Certificates: In this case, all the above verifications are carried out plus verification of the position of a person within the organization.
Depending on the purpose of the certificates, these can be divided into:
SSL Certificates for clients: Used to identify and authenticate those clients that enter the website through the Secure Socket Layer protocol. Normally they are issued to a natural person, either a private individual or a company.
SSL Certificates for server: In this case, it is used to identify a server to a client using the same Secure Socket Layer protocol, which is usually issued in the name of the company that owns the secure server or the service.
S/MIME Certificate: Used for email services, signed and encrypted.
Certificates for signing the code: Used to identify the author of a file.
Certificates for AC: Identify and verify the certified authorities themselves using a specific software.

QuickSSL Premium: Ensures and certifies a domain, it is immediately available with 256-bit encryption. The coverage insurance is $ 500,000.
Now we will describe advanced trust certificates, ideal for professional pages and ecommerce.
TrueBusinessID: Certifies the organization and domain, it secures a domain, availability of 1 to 10 business days with 256-bit encryption. The coverage insurance is $ 1,250,000.
TrueBusinessID Wildcard: Certifies the organization and domain, it has unlimited subdomains insured, availability of 1 to 10 business days with 256-bit encryption. The coverage insurance is $ 1,250,000.
TrueBusinessID with EV: Identifies and obtains details of the organization, the physical address, the authorized contact person and the ownership of the domain. It secures 1 domain, available from 3 to 15 business days with 256-bit encryption. The coverage insurance is $ 1,500,000.
TrueBusinessID certificates allow the incorporation of additional domains or UC/SAN. A single certificate for a company that will be valid for a main domain and for a maximum of 24 additional domains.
TrueBusiness ID + Pack 4 UC/SAN: Identifies and certifies the organization, the domain and its ownership, it ensures 1 domain and 4 alternative (expandable to 25 domains). Availability of 1 to 10 business days with 256-bit encryption. The coverage insurance is $ 1,250,000.
TrueBusinessID with EV + Pack 4 UC/SAN: Identifies, certifies and obtains details of the organization, the physical address, the authorized contact person, the domain and its ownership. It ensures 1 domain and 4 alternatives (expandable to 25 domains). Availability of 3 to 15 business days with 256-bit encryption. The coverage insurance is $ 1,500,000.
To contract any of our certificates available in the portfolio, you must locate yourself in your SW Panel and select in the blue left menu, in the section "Domains and Certificates", the submenu "Management of SSL Certificates".
Once in this section, you can manage your purchased certificates. For this, you have different options: Open the post-it notes, download the RSA Private Key, renew Certificate, start the validation by DNS Token and install the certificate directly in the selected service.
From the section of SSL Certificates, you will also have the option to create a new SSL certificate, in the blue button located in the upper right corner "Create SSL" or, in case of not having any certificate, also in the lower part in green.
Once in the creation tab of a new certificate, the only thing you will have to do is select the Certificate that best suits your needs.
You must indicate the URL to be secured and then a form will be displayed in which you must fill in all the fields.
Once you have filled out the entire form, you can access the next step. Remember that you must have created a validation email account beforehand and, in addition, you must have access to that mailbox in order to validate your certificate request. Likewise, you must ensure that you have access to the email account that you indicate in the owner's data, as it will be in the latter where you will finally receive your certificate.
In this last step, if you have a promotional discount code, you have to enter it in the Promotional Code section (red section located on the left side). To finish, you must verify your data and validate the hiring of your new certificate.
Once you have completed all the form data that the SWPanel shows you, you will receive a validation email to the email firstname.lastname@example.org. If there is no account like "admin" created, you must create it. Later, when you have validated this email, you will receive another email to the email address that appears as the owner of the certificate with the attached certificate. Then, if your server has a SW Panel license, you can install it on your server using the tools available in the certificate management, which we explain below.
Open Post-It Notes A document is opened to write notes about the Certificate in question.
Download RSA Private Key In cryptography, RSA is a system that is responsible for encrypting the content of your website. This contains a public key, which is used to encrypt the message, and once sent, the private key (RSA Private Key) is responsible for decrypting it from the server. This option is usually used for service migrations in which this private key must be moved to the new server.
Renovate With this option, you can renew your certificate automatically.
Validation by DNS Token The validation by Token DNS, is simply a form of validation by DNS when requesting a certificate.
Install Certificate about the Service To be able to automatically install the certificate in your service, remember that you must have a server with SW Panel and, in addition, it must be updated. In case of not having your server updated you can request its update to our technical department, which can install your certificate in the service you want, as long as your server has level 2 support hired.
