Space available on our server

In this manual, we will learn to know the space available on our Linux server.

To see the available space on our server:

We will connect to our server via SSH via Putty. Once inside, we will use the following command:

# df -h

Which will return the following result: enter image description here

The folder that matters to us is "dev/xvda3", being "size" the space of the same, "used" the used one and "avaible" the available one.

If we want to know the space occupied by folders in the "home" directory, we will use:

# df -h

If we want to find a larger file of 300M:

# find / -type f -size +300M -exec ls -lh {} \\\\;

We hope that this manual has been useful for you.
