What is a Catch-All mailbox?
A Catch-All mailbox is an email that will receive all emails sent to:
that do not properly have a mailbox or alias created.
What is a Catch-All mailbox for?
It serves to receive all emails sent to your domain, regardless of the email account. Simply by being sent to @yourdomain.com, you will receive them. Keep in mind that you have the advantage that you will receive ALL emails sent to your domain. "Everyone" means that you can receive a lot of spam or spam.
Where will I receive all these emails?
When creating the Catch-All mailbox, you can indicate the email account that you want to receive all these emails. It is not necessary that the destination email be an account of your domain, it can be any email account that exists.
Will I be able to activate or deactivate the Catch-All mailbox whenever I want?
Yes of course, you can turn it on and off whenever you want.
In order to create a "Catch-All" account, access the SWPanel with your username and password.
By default, when you access the SWPanel the main Dashboard will appear. Click "Active service tree" in the blue menu on the left side:
Once inside, select the service with the domain you want to create the mailbox "Catch-All":
Access the Mail Management section and click on the Catch All Mailbox tab at the top:
Now all that remains is to indicate the account where you want to receive all emails, click on the "check" and save the changes. You can check our manual how to create an email account from SWPanel
It is done! From now on, you will receive all mail addressed to @yourdomain.com that does not have a properly created mailbox or alias. If at any time you want to deactivate it, it is as easy as clicking the "check" again and saving the changes.
